Al-Ula/ Campus France program: training of the first 68 Saudi laureates will kick off soon

A delegation from Campus France went to Saudi Arabia from July 19 to 21, 2018 to prepare the implementation of the cooperation program concluded in April 2018 with the Royal Commission for Al-Ula. The program includes a 10 years course for 1,000 students targeting occupations in tourism, hotel management, archaeology and heritage.

68 Saudi students including 32 female students will study in France in 2018 as part as the agreement concluded between France and Saudi Arabia in April 2018 for the development of the Al-Ula archaeological site. They will begin with a first year in a language centre to learn French, and then continue their studies in France.

France was the most popular destination chosen by the decision makers of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula. The other laureate students will be divided in two groups: about 50 will study in the United States, and 50 more will study in the United Kingdom.

Campus France had the opportunity to meet the laureates and provide them will details regarding their arrival and stay in France. Work sessions will also be held with the French embassy in Saudi Arabia and the Royal Commission for Al-Ula.
