The VivaTech fair, biggest European event in the field of new technologies, attracted all stakeholders from this sector from 11 to 14 June 2025 in Paris. As strategic priority, artificial intelligence has been at the heart of the event, and French President Macron attended the fair to remind the assets of France in terms of innovation. Here’s a look back on the event, which featured hot announcements: new research mechanisms and a partnership agreement between Mistral IA and Nvidia. With those projects, France keeps up with its status of pioneer in AI and robotics.

Which are the best higher education institutions in terms of sustainability? The Times Higher Education (THE) answers this questions with its Impact Rankings 2025, ranking 2,500 universities from 130 countries depending on their efforts to reach the UN sustainable development goals. With 34 schools and institutions ranked, one more than last year, France is ranked third in Europe, behind the UK and Spain. 

The French magazine “L’Étudiant” has just released its 2025 edition of the overall ranking of the “best” student cities in France.  This year, the editorial team compared 47 French cities—each hosting more than 8,000 students—across a wide range of criteria. Alongside this official ranking, the platform also invited students themselves to vote for their favourite cities, using more personal and subjective factors. The results vary depending on the ranking: cities are not necessarily on top in both rankings— a reminder that no matter the metrics, student life thrives in cities across the country!
