Campus France and a delegation of French university institutes of technology in Malaysia
All stakeholders of the “Malaysia Plan”, supervised by Campus France, met in Kuala Lumpur from December 3rd to 7, 2018.
The education mission of the Malaysia Plan gathering all partners of the Malaysia Plan was held in early December in Kuala Lumpur from December 3rd to 7, 2018.
The delegation, including a dozen of representatives of university institutes of technology (IUTs in French) in Nice, Toulon, Toulouse, Aix-Marseille, and Saint-Nazaire, directors, and contacts from the Plan, was led by Katell Flourié, head of the Malaysia Plan at Campus France, and Laurence Achimsky, head of the “education engineering” department at Campus France.
During the mission, the first Franco-Malaysian convention on higher education and research was held by the French Embassy in Malaysia. Campus France introduced key figures of international student mobility.
The Malaysia Plan was created in 2000 in close collaboration between various Plan stakeholders in France and Malaysia. The Plan aims at preparing Malaysian students in sciences and French language for 13 months before joining French IUTs. The objective of the Malaysian government, sole backer of the Plan, is to train as many engineers as possible.
