Campus France interviewed Jean-Maurice Ripert, French ambassador in China, during one of the classic "Breakfast sessions", a session of open and friendly exchange about the stakes of higher education, scientific and technological cooperation between France and China.

In the presence of Jean-Maurice Ripert, French ambassador in China, Campus France Agency opened its doors to about 100 institutions, universities, schools or research institutions on Thursday 15 March in the morning, with coffee and croissants.

After the Ambassador's speech regarding the political, economic, cultural and higher education context in China, institutions representatives had the opportunity to exchange and develop questions in relation with the mobility of French and Chinese students and researchers.

As part of the event, Campus France published a Country Report ("Dossier Pays") dedicated to China. The Report presents a sum-up of higher education in China and an analysis of the attractiveness scheme of France.

China is the country where students are the most mobile worldwide: over 800,000 Chinese students were in graduating mobility in 2015.

One mobile student out of six is Chinese.

France welcomed about 30,000 Chinese students for the academic year 2016-2017, a number slightly lower than in 2010 and 2016.
