French higher education fills up the room in Côte d’Ivoire

A delegation made of 33 French higher education institutions and Campus France participated in the new edition of the Salon de l’Enseignement Supérieur Français en Côte d’Ivoire (SESF, French Higher Education Fair in Côte d’Ivoire) organised in Abidjan from 13 to 15 October in collaboration with the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire and Campus France Côte d’Ivoire. This was the first fair about studies in France organised in Côte d’Ivoire since the COVID-19 health crisis.

During the event, representatives of French institutions and Campus France had the opportunity to:

• Present the French higher education offer;
• Present life in France and the “tools” to support students in their study projects, from high school to doctorate;
• Meet institutional partners;
• Meeting with high school representatives, students, parents and teachers to provide all the information needed for individuals interested in studying in France.

The results of this fair were very positive, with a total of 8,023 in-person visitors during the 2.5 days of the fair and 3,472 participants online. The organisation of this new edition of the French Higher Education Fair is part of the continuity of the actions carried out jointly by Campus France, the French Embassy and Campus France Côte d’Ivoire to promote studies in France and the Franco-Ivorian hub for education. With 10,357 students in 2020-2021 (+62% in 5 years), France remains the leading host country for Ivorian students.
