Creation of a Franco-Indian campus: projects selected for phase 2

Projects selected for phase 2 of the call for projects for the creation of a Franco-Indian campus in the Indo-Pacific region in the fields of life science for health are now known. The last projects will be submitted on 30 September 2022 at the latest.

Projects selected for phase 2 of the call for projects for the creation of a “Franco-Indian campus in the Indo-Pacific region in the fields of life science for health” are:

  • Consortium including Université de La Réunion - Lyon 1 - Lyon 2 - Poitiers / Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) / Biotechnology and social sciences in relation with natural and curative properties of plants;
  • Consortium including ENS-Lyon (coordinator) - ENS-PSL - ENS-Saclay - ENS-Rennes / IISER Pune -IISER Tirupati - IISER Kolkata -IISER Bophal - IISER Mohali    Title  / One Health
  • Consortium including Université de Bordeaux (Coordinator) - Paris-Saclay - ISIPCA - Rennes 1 / Mumbai University - Osmania University - Transdisciplinary University Bangalore - IICT Hyderabad / Natural substances for health. Beauty products, natural products for health
  • Sorbonne Université / Unidentified Indian partner / Integrated health / One Health; 
  • Université Toulouse 3 Paul Sabatier / Unidentified Indian partner / Pharmacy, Toxicology;                                
  • Université Clermont Auvergne / Unidentified Indian partner / Nutrition, Physiology, Genetics
  • Université Côte d’Azur / Savitribai Phule Pune University - ISEER Pune / Fundamental biology and computer science
  • Université Grenoble Alpes / Manipal Academy of Higher education / Biotechnologies and health engineering.

 

The last projects will be submitted on 30 September 2022 at the latest.

The call or projects “Creation of a Franco-Indian Campus in the Indo-Pacific region in the field of life science for health” is financed by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and jointly coordinated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

It has a double objective:

  • Rebalance the flow of students by fostering crossed mobility: draw Indian students in France, but also French students and students from the Indo-Pacific region in India;
  • Structure bilateral cooperation (France-India) in the strategic field of Health: support French players of higher education and research in the development of partnerships; help Indian institutions attract more international students.
  • Develop the professional integration of young people and answer the socio-economic needs in relation with health;
  • Build a multidisciplinary research ecosystem, with a strong transversality, suitable for the development of multi-player innovative partnerships (academic, innovative, clusters, start-ups, industrial, and more), including through the strengthening of training courses by research.

The selected laureate project(s) will receive funding to help kickstart the project.
