Symposium on the reception of international students: Campus France invites you to Strasbourg for the 15 and 16 May

The 6th edition of the symposium dedicated to the reception of international students will take place in Strasbourg at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration on 15 and 16 May. Organised by Campus France, it will offer two days of discussions, workshops and round tables on international mobility and the reception facilities for international students and researchers in France. 

The "Reception of International Students" symposium organised by Campus France brings together all the actors involved in the reception of foreign students and researchers in France. It is held this year in line with the launch by the Prime Minister of the Choose France/Bienvenue en France plan that places the improvement of reception facilities at the centre of the strategy to make France more attractive to international students. 

The "The Reception of International Students" symposium will take place in Strasbourg at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration on 15 and 16 May 2019. It is aimed at all representatives of higher education institutions and research bodies who work on a daily basis on the reception of foreign researchers and students, and specifically managers and staff in international relations departments, registrar's offices and student services

The symposium will offer conferences and round tables, as well as themed workshops to promote interactivity and the sharing of good practices.

Improving the policy for the reception and integration of international students

The "Reception of International Students" symposium is designed and prepared by Campus France to:

  1. Present the current state of international mobility, new regulatory and legislative opportunities with regard to reception and innovative arrangements
  2. Promote the exchange of good practices amongst higher education institutions to improve their policy on the reception and integration of international students.

The central theme of the 2019 symposium will be the quality of reception facilities. The programme of contributions and round tables will concentrate in particular on:

  • the strategic challenge involved in the reception of international students in France and worldwide,
  • the simplification of the policy on visas and administration of stays,
  • development of the offering of services for the reception of students,
  • access to accommodation for international students,
  • the place of the French language and of English in the reception policy,
  • the quality labelling of higher education institutions.
