Call for Papers for the next Asia Europe Meeting Conference (November 20-21, 2018)

All audiences

The DAAD has launched a call for papers in anticipation of the next Asia Europe Meeting conference held in Cologne on November 20 and 21.

The subject of the conference is "ASEM Education in a digital world: bridging the continents - connecting the people?".

Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) is an informal intergovernmental forum including 51 countries committed in the densification of cooperation between Asia and Europe. Education is one of the cornerstones of the Forum’s actions through the ASEM Education Process.  Conferences are held in a regular basis.

The next Cologne conference held on November 20 and 21, 2018 will focus on the digital era. Papers provided need to be in relation with the following subjects:

  • Boosting exchange: balancing mobility between Asia and Europe through digital formats?
  • ASEM's diversity: fostering intercultural connectivity and understanding in a digital way
  • Educational cooperation through virtual learning and blended formats: how to assure its quality?
  • Industry 4.0: new challenges for skills and competences of young students and graduates

Chosen papers will be presented during a workshop and will be published. Authors will benefit from accommodation during the conference, and travel allowance. Each paper selected will award its author €500.

Young researchers (PhD students and postdocs) with an interest must send an abstract of their paper (400 to 500 words), and their resume to Martin Schifferings (asem@daad.de) before September 15, 2018.

For additional information, check out the Call for Papers of the DAAD.
