“Bienvenue en France/Choose France”, the certification campaign and the call for projects are launched

To be eligible for funding from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) under the “Bienvenue en France/Choose France” call for projects, institutions under the supervision of MESRI must have embarked on the “Bienvenue en France/Choose France” certification process with Campus France before the 2nd May 2019.

The Bienvenue en France/Choose France certification campaign, led by Campus France as part of its strategy to attract international students, began on the 31st January 2019. 

  • 6 workshops were organised by Campus France in Paris, Lyon and Toulouse to support the institutions in their accreditation process.
     
  • 150 establishments have embarked on “Bienvenue en France/Choose France” certification process process, 75 of which have already completed the first phase.

"Bienvenue en France/Choose France" call for projects

On the 20th March 2019, MESRI launched a call for projects worth €5 million to support the institutions under its supervision in improving conditions for international students. 3 priorities have been selected: student sponsorship, the development of French as a Foreign Language courses and foreign language options. 

To be eligible for this funding, only one condition must be met: to applied for a "Bienvenue en France/Choose France" certification with Campus France and to have completed the first phase of application for the certification before the 2nd May 2019. 

How can I finalise the first phase of the certification application process?

The first phase is where the establishment declares its official commitment to the certification process. You must:

  1. Download and fill in the commitment letter,
     
  2. Designate a person in charge of the Bienvenue en France/Choose France certification within the establishment,
     
  3. Create an account on the application platform for the Bienvenue en France/Choose France certification,
     
  4. Fill in your information on the “institution form” online,
     
  5. Submit the .pdf version of the commitment letter signed and stamped by the headteacher online.

Campus France will check the eligibility of the institution and grant it access rights to the application platform. The institution will be informed by email.
