2022 European Business Schools Ranking: France dominates the Financial Times’ rankings

Students, Institutions

In the 19th edition of the Financial Times European Business Schools Ranking, published on December 4, France dominated the rankings. Two French schools were in the top spots: HEC which is once again the top school, and ESCP which was in 3rd place. The other French schools in the top 20 were: EDHEC, ESSEC, EM Lyon, and INSEAD. In total, of the 95 schools ranked, 24 of them were French.

The ranking by the Financial Times is universally recognized. It is based on data collected by the renowned financial and economic daily from the graduates themselves. It is based on the rating given by each student, taking into consideration their school and the type of diploma attained. It also includes criteria that take into account the student’s salary after three years of work and their career progression after three years of activity.

The criterion of internationalization is also important in the rankings: the proportion of international faculty and doctoral students, as well as the international experience of students, both during their studies (study abroad and for internships) and at the start of their professional career.
