Success of the first "French Universities Days" in Moscow

Fifteen French higher education institutions came to the meeting of university cooperation between France and Russia.

The student fairs in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg were very popular, and the stands of French institutions, arranged in a "France" section, were crowded with students.

The Conferences of French Language hosted by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) gathered 240 teachers and members of the international relations staff, who came from all over Russia. Participants were warmly welcomed by an opening speech by Vladimir A. Mau, Head of RANEPA, Sylvie Bermann, French ambassador and Olivier Guillaume, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action.

French and Russian institutions then met during 115 bilateral meetings.

The representatives of five Campus France Offices in Russia then presented the university backgrounds of their regions, raising the interest of French institutions and starting new leads for cooperation."
