Live your values, inspire your future, with the Erasmus Days 2025

The Erasmus Days 2025, which are days dedicated to the mobility of young people in Europe, will take place from the 13th to the 18th October this year.  The main objective of Erasmus Days is to provide information about opportunities offered by the European Union in terms of education, training and solidarity, in a six-day celebration for the whole world to come together and participate in hundreds of events celebrating Erasmus+ projects.

Live your values, inspire your future.” This is the theme of the 9th Erasmus Days, which promotes the European spirit by putting the spotlights on “projects leaders and past, current or next beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ programme”, on those “showcase their commitment to the European Union and its values, i.e. “human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and respect of human rights”, declared the French ministry of education, higher education and research.

Values of inclusion, respect, and sharing

The Erasmus+ programme is at the heart of the Erasmus Days is a European programme for education, training, youth and sports. Its aim is to provide an opportunity for a broad range of people, such as students, trainees, pupils, apprentices, teachers, trainers, staff, or job seekers “to spend time abroad to enrich their knowledge, develop their skills and improve their employment prospects”.

And Erasmus+ is also a showcase for “promoting the values of inclusion, respect, and sharing”. More specifically:

  • inclusion and diversity, to facilitate the participation of all audiences, and specifically those who “have less opportunities”;
  • digital transformation, to “develop the use of digital technology and the support the development of beneficiaries’ digital skills”;
  • eco and sustainable transition to integrate “eco-civility” in projects, promote education in sustainable development and raise awareness about the “issues of eco-transition”;
  • participation to democratic life, for an “active civic participation corresponding to the values of an open and democratic society”.

More than 10,000 events in about sixty countries

To promote those values, and the programme itself, the Erasmus Days are about to offer, just like last year, no less than 10,000 events organised in about 60 countries, an illustration of the widespread impact of the programme to be found on the dynamic map of events.

According to Erasmus+ France / Education Formation, the agency driving the event, a broad range of actions is scheduled in 2025 online or onsite: conferences, personal stories, round tables, meetings, concerts, photo exhibitions, fashion walks, flashmobs, games, webinars, quizzes, partner meetings, live sessions, and more. Whatever the conditions of these events, whether they are scheduled “in small or large groups, with or without public access”, the idea is to participate in “rock Europe!”.

From meetings, seminars to share good practice and language exchanges to international food festivals and sports events or collaborative art projects, Erasmus Days are “the perfect opportunity to meet people from various backgrounds and discover various cultures”.

On social networks with the Erasmus Days Challenge

In addition to these one-off events, and to make a true success of this new edition, organisers have created a challenge to post the personal stories of (past, current and/or future) beneficiaries and share their experience “in a tailor-made and creative way”. These multiple challenges should allow all those participating in the programme to bring value to their project or share their Erasmus experience

A challenge has been started in September and will continue throughout the #ErasmusDays to “showcase even more the event on social media”, and particularly TikTok and Instagram. And according to the dedicated website, it’s very easy to participate: “just share your Erasmus+ experience with a picture, a video, a drawing or an audio clip and post it on social media with the hashtag #ErasmusDaysChallenge”.
