NAFSA 2025 : 28 french institutions to represent france at the world's largest trade fair for higher education

For its 77th edition, the NAFSA (Association of International Educators) annual conference, the world's largest event dedicated to the internationalization of higher education, will be held in San Diego, California, from May 27, 2025 to May 30, 2025. More than 10,000 higher education professionals from over 100 countries are expected to attend this not-to-be-missed event. An opportunity for France to showcase the richness and diversity of its academic offerings.

Why San Diego?

Renowned for its dynamism in research and innovation, San Diego stands out as a strategic hub of higher education in the United States, with nearly 2,000 research institutions and structures, and some 180,000 jobs in the sector. It is in this fast-growing metropolis, dubbed "the most beautiful city in the USA," that education experts and institutions from around the worldwill be meeting this year.

 

Theme 2025: Purpose, Place and Partnerships

The NAFSA 2025 conference will focus on the links between goals, territories and partnerships in the development of international higher education. The focus will be on sustainability as the foundation for new collaborative opportunities, beneficial not only tohigher education institutions, but also to society as a whole. More than 250 events are scheduled: plenary conferences, roundtables, workshops and interactive sessions.

 

The French delegation: 28 institutions united to promote academic excellence

Under the pavilion of Campus France, and with the support of the French Embassy in the United States, France will be represented by 28 higher education institutions, covering the entire academic landscape: universities, specialized institutions, Grandes écoles, engineering schools, and business schools — the latter being particularly well represented (57% of the delegation). The delegation’s objectives: raise the profile of French higher education, develop new international partnerships, and promote student, academic and scientific mobility.
