The Federal university of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées and Campus France are strengthening their arrangements for receiving international students

Campus France and the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées have reaffirmed their readiness to receive more international students in universities, Grandes Écoles, and research organisations in Occitanie. A partnership has been signed so that students who receive a Campus France scholarship also receive a personalised “Toul’Box” pack, offered by the Federal University.

Settling down in Toulouse or its surrounding areas? It’s easy thanks to the Toul’Box welcome pack. Services include a taxi from the airport, help with finding accommodation, provision of a travel card and/or SIM card, opening of a bank account, a tour of the city, and much more.

Wishing to offer this welcome to international students at the Académie de Toulouse who receive a Campus France scholarship, the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées and Campus France have formed closer links. Philippe Raimbault, president of the Federal University, and Béatrice Khaiat, General Managing Director of Campus France, signed a partnership in order to allow international students enrolled at Académie de Toulouse, and whose scholarships are managed by Campus France, to receive additional services through the new Campus France Toul’Box pack.

The government has set a goal of hosting 500,000 international students in France by 2027, compared to 340,000 today. The objective is a sign of opening up to the world that benefits all French regions, including Occitanie, which is the 3rd top region to receive the most international students.

During her visit to Toulouse as part of the Rencontres d’Occitanie forum organised by La Dépêche du Midi, Béatrice Khaiat commended the exemplary nature of the collective reception measures introduced by Toulouse institutions: the Toul’Box, already mentioned in the press release published by Campus France at the beginning of the academic year, as well as the Accueil Welcome Desk—additional schemes in Campus France offers.
