The French + Gastronomy and French + Hospitality programs

French + gastronomy et French + hospitality

The French + Gastronomy and French + Hospitality programs, developed by Campus France in partnership with FLE centres, diplomatic posts, and Campus France local offices, offer international students language stays that also enable them to discover all aspects of French gastronomy and hospitality.

These programs provide a full immersion in emblematic sectors of French know-how, combining language learning, professional experiences, and cultural discovery. Designed for English-speaking students, even complete beginners in French: only a B2 level in English is required.

The French + Gastronomy program

In partnership with the FAUCHON School and the FLE centre French in Normandy, French + Gastronomy is a 3-week program offering an immersion in French gastronomy.

Students take part in culinary workshops and demonstrations at the FAUCHON School, visit local producers (cheesemakers, farmers, fishmongers, chocolatiers, sommeliers), and explore the hospitality sector through visits to prestigious establishments.

In addition, the city of Rouen, the first French city to be designated a “Gastronomic City” by UNESCO, adds an exceptional dimension to this program thanks to the rich cultural activities offered by the Métropole and the Region. As the birthplace of Impressionism, Rouen is also one of the French cities with the highest density of historical monuments, offering students an authentic, inspiring, and discovery-rich destination.

The French+Hospitality program

The French + Hospitality program, developed by Campus France in partnership with l’École Fauchon and the FLE center French in Normandy, offers an immersion in the world of hospitality and luxury.

The program combines theory, practical workshops, and professional meetings, giving participants a comprehensive and concrete understanding of the hospitality and luxury sector in France. Students learn the codes of French hospitality, the art of receiving, and customer experience management. They explore guesthouses and boutique hotels and participate in practical workshops and role-playing exercises to personalize the customer experience while understanding operational excellence and tailor-made service.

This program emphasizes the sensory and emotional aspects of hospitality, providing participants with concrete skills to succeed in the French hospitality and luxury sector.

Organization of sessions

The French + Gastronomy and French + Hospitality programs uniquely combine French language instruction with specialized modules delivered in English.
