New online service to apply for and renew your residence permit

The French Ministry of the Interior opens a new online service to apply for and renew residence permits of international students in France.

New online service to apply for your residence permit

As part of the “Bienvenue en France” strategy (“Welcome to France”), the French Ministry has opened in early November an online service to apply for a residence permit, called “ANEF-séjour” (“Administration Numérique pour les Etrangers en France”) for international students in France.

Thanks to this new service, you may apply for a residence permit without going to the “Préfecture”.

Submit your application for a residence permit here: www.administration-etrangers-en-france.interieur.gouv.fr

The new service is for students holding a visa or residence permite:

  • VLS-TS étudiant” or “VLS-TS "étudiants en mobilité"
  • VLS "étudiant"” (for Algerian nationals)
  • VLS "étudiant mobilité"
  • VLS-T mineur scolarisé
  • Residence permit for a reason other than “student’
  • “Student” residence permit

Simplified processes for international students

The online application service has been designed to be simple of use. You can access it from your computer, tablet or smartphone. The ANEF programme applies the principle of “Tell us only once”, that allows you not to have to enter the same information several times.

For any questions in relation with your file or any issue on the platform, contact the “Centre de contact citoyen” (Citizen Contact Centre, CCC):
