How to apply to the "Bienvenue en France" label?

Step 1: Declaration of commitment by the institution

1. The institution downloads and completes the "institutional letter of commitment." Before it can be completed, the letter must first be downloaded and saved on a computer. It is not possible to complete the letter in an Internet browser.
    
2. The institution appoints one of its employees to manage the "Bienvenue en France" label.
    
3. The institution creates a private account on the label application platform ("register" button).
    
4. The institution's "Bienvenue en France" label manager enters the information in the "institution file" on the online application platform.
    
5. The label manager submits the "institutional letter of commitment" as a PDF on the application platform, stamped and signed by the head of the institution.
    
6. Campus France verifies the eligibility of the institution.
    
7. Campus France grants the institution access rights to the platform and informs the institution of these rights by email.

The institution applies via the label application platform (The platform is being updated).

Step 2: Self-evaluation by the institution

1. The institution specifies whether it meets the criteria and provides all accompanying documentation. In the event of a question, the institution may contact Campus France for more information.
    
2. The institution confirms that its application is complete.

Step 3: Application processing

1. Campus France acknowledges receipt of the application.
    
2. Campus France summarizes and analyzes the information provided by the institution. If necessary, Campus France contacts the institution for more information.

Step 4: Awarding of the label

1. After reviewing the self-evaluation completed by the institution, Campus France awards the "Bienvenue en France" label on a probationary basis for a period of one year and sends the logo and certificate to the institution.
   If the institution does not meet the criteria for this initial awarding of the label, Campus France will encourage the institution to improve its application. Otherwise, the institution will be informed that it does not qualify for the label.
    
2. Campus France is committed to promoting institutions which have been awarded the label.
    
3. During the second year, an expert visits the institution and creates a report. An independent commission, appointed in conjunction with the institution, reviews this report and validates the permanent "Bienvenue en France" label for the following years.

Step 5: Application for a higher-level label

1. To apply for a higher-level label, an institution goes through the same process as it did for the initial application.
    
2. It completes a self-evaluation and is visited by an expert who draws up a report. The higher level is validated by an independent commission appointed in conjunction with the institution.
