
MOPGA 2026: Visiting fellowship program for early career researchers
The call for applications for the MOPGA fellowship program for early career international researchers is open until 12 December 2025. These grants will be awarded to the laureates working on topics related to climate change and environment.
As a major player in the fight against climate change and a guarantor of the spirit of the Paris Agreement, France is launching a new MOPGA research stay scholarship program for young researchers. This program aims to strengthen scientific contributions to the climate change issues raised by the Conferences of the parties (COP).
This new call for projects for the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) program is funded by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and implemented by Campus France. It will welcome young researchers who wish to conduct a research project in France, thereby fostering their collaboration with leading French research institutions.
These scholarships will be awarded to the successful young researchers for a period of 12 months, starting in September 2026.
Who can apply?
Foreign researchers who meet the following conditions can apply:
- Have held a PhD for less than 5 years
- Be exclusively of foreign nationality
- have not resided in France for more than 90 days between September 12, 2025 and December 12, 2025.
