Higher education and research clusters, known as PRES, are the focal points for efforts to improve services for international students and junior scholars and researchers.

Campus France, International mobility, PRES

A Campus France representative can be found in each PRES

Through a network of representatives, Campus France maintains a presence in each of France's research and higher education clusters, or PRES. The representatives' task is to promote dialogue and cooperation between the institutions that make up the cluster and Campus France's offices around the world. In this way Campus France supports the efforts of the clusters to improve services for international students, scholars, and researchers by forging close relations with the Campus France's overseas network.

The PRES were designed to serve as instruments of promotion for their member institutions. They enable members to join forces in certain areas by pooling their efforts, as well as their human and financial resources. The overall goal is to raise the profile and the impact of the French system of higher education and research. The clusters require a strong commitment from each member so as to ensure greater coordination and to harmonize disparate organizational cultures.

To improve services for international students and scholars

In a fast-changing higher-education landscape with many dynamic actors, the PRES are essential focal points for efforts to improve services for international students and junior scholars and researchers.

At present, the agency's support takes the form of training sessions and advice. In the years to come its role will expand greatly, reflecting the strategic importance of the PRES for the future of French higher education on the world stage.
