The new CampusFrance REPÈRES collection aims at giving a voice to the “thinkers of mobility” in France and the world.
Mobility beyond borders has become an issue of growing importance in national and international debates: the last PNUD report is entitled “Overcoming Barriers: Human Mobility and Development”.
As for the higher education industry, the combined effects of economic globalisation and higher education internationalisation have led to an acceleration of the academic exchanges trend. In France, for example, the number of foreign students has raised by 71% since 1998. Forecasts show that in 2025, “international” students in the world should have risen from 1.7 million in 2000 to 7.5 million.
Even institutions move toward more “mobility”.
Campus outsourcing in foreign countries is a trend that has been growing in importance for about a decade.
